Fuchsia and Silver Chainmaille Bracelet

16 11 2011

Silver byzantine chain segments give this bracelet a unique look

This is one of my favorite styles of bracelet to make. It is very slinky, but it has enough weight (without being too heavy) to let the wearer know she has something beautiful on her wrist.

The color scheme is feminine, with bright fuchsia rings surrounding a band of silver. The unique design, with side-by-side byzantine “units,”  is sure to get noticed and admired.

I have a similar bracelet in purple, black, and silver here.

I made this one a little long for most wrists. However, the design makes this bracelet easy to “cut down” to the desired size. This style take a long time to make, so shortening the bracelet is much faster than extending it (although that is possible, too). With the slinky and flexible pattern, this is one bracelet that looks great a little loose.
